Alfred A. Stadnicki has extensive experience counseling clients in all areas of intellectual property law. Mr. Stadnick's practice is primarily directed to the prosecution of patents in the electrical, mechanical and software arts, the preparation of validity and infringement opinions and the transfer of intellectual property rights. His background includes significant work in communications, optical, space and information technologies. Mr. Stadnicki has substantial expertise in the licensing of patents, know-how, software and other intellectual property rights. Mr. Stadnicki also prosecutes trademark and copyright registrations and counsel's clients in various other matters including fair trade, litigation and alternate dispute resolution.

Mr. Stadnicki is a member of the Information Technology Steering Committee of the Maryland High Technology Council, and his professional associations include the Society of Satellite Professionals, Inc., American Bar Association and American Intellectual Property Law Associations. He is a frequent speaker on intellectual property law issues, with recent presented seminars including "Special Aspects of Software Protection", "Business Aspects of Intellectual Property Licensing", "Selected Issues in Intellectual Property Licensing", "IP Licensing Workshop" and "Securing Rights in Intellectual Property Assets". He has served as an instructor at the George Washington University "Claim Drafting Seminar" and as a guest lecturer in George Washington University's LLM program.

Mr. Stadnicki was previously head of the Washington D.C. intellectual property practice of a national general practice firm and a partner in a mid-size intellectual property boutique. He also formerly served as Assistant General Counsel and Intellectual Property Counsel for the world's largest provider of international satellite communications, and with the legal department of a major computer manufacturer. Mr. Stadnicki is admitted to practice before state and federal courts and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
