Ronald J. Shore received his B.S. in Welding Engineering and M.Sc. in Engineering from Ohio State University in 1968. He received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 1973.

In private practice since 1977, his concentration has been in patent, trademark, copyright and unfair trade practices including patent litigation and trademark enforcement in U.S. district courts and the International Trade Commission as well as representation before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Prior to joining the firm, he served as a patent examiner and primary examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, 1969 1977, and as a law clerk at the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences and with the Solicitor's Office.

He is the co author, along with R.B. McCauley, of "Effects of Porosity on High Strength Aluminum 7039," Welding Journal, July 1970.

His professional memberships include the American Intellectual Property Law Association.

He is admitted to the bar in Virginia and the District of Columbia and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
